DIY WICKER TREE SKIRT
We finally have our tree up!! WOOHOO!
Ive been itching to get our tree since Halloween, but since we get a real tree I had to PATIENTLY wait what seemed like FOREVER! I have always liked the look of a wicker tree skirt, but was not willing to spend a fortune. Last year as I was gathering my Christmas decorations, I came across a big wicker basket and decided to craft my own tree skirt. This is a very simple project and the finished product turned out great! (My total cost was $25, which is a steal!)
Here’s what you need:
1. wicker basket big enough to fit your Christmas tree stand
2. Wire cutters
Instructions:
Cut out the bottom of the wicker basket (you’ll end up with a wicker ring), If you have a fake tree you are done! Simple I know!
If you have a real tree you will need to cut a slit in the ring (This is so you can remove the ring easily when you need to water the tree)
Pretty simple right? If you don’t want to get crafty I have found some great options online!
In the past I never liked the thought of a fake tree but lately Ive been ALL about them. Not only can you put it up right after Halloween, but you can also buy a pretty one with snow all over the branches! Here are some of the ones I LOVE! (I haven’t completly crossed over, but I do think they are very practical)
Happy Decorating!!
